Every other day you will come across different people who think that in order for you to get the perfect abs you have to work harder especially on the crunches. Some people even believe that you need to do hundreds if not thousands of crunches before you are able to get the perfect abs. However this is as far from the truth as you can imagine. Of course there are those who will keep on powering the crunches from time to time and still get the results. However, this does not always have to be the case. Besides, not all of us have the time in the world to power all those crunches before we can be able to realize the magnificent abs. If you read from the books of a gym rat, you will certainly be pushing yourself over the limit. However, if you are sensible you will realize that you can achieve the perfect abs by working out only 15 minutes a day.

The secret to having abs lies in your ability to lower the percentage of body fat you have to a level where the abs can now show through. It is actually that simple. You can do so many sit-ups and crunches, but as long as these do not translate into the simple mechanism of lowering your body fat, you can be sure that you will only be making things harder for yourself, and torturing yourself for all the wrong reasons. What this means is that you need to learn how to lower your body fat to a level that your abs can start showing.

Besides exercising, you also need to start practicing a good clean diet. If you cannot eat clean, at least try and make sure that you can eat cleaner than you normally do. Diet counts for so much more than it is given credit for when it comes to working out, and in particular when it comes to gaining the perfect abs. it is funny how so many people do not ever take this into consideration and just go about eating anything that they can, go on to torture themselves through a lot of crunches in the name of getting the perfect abs. You are what you eat, and before you start eating clean, you will never be able to see the results that you dream about so much.

Once you have your diet in check, you can then start thinking of how to work only 15 minutes and get the perfect abs. Do not forget about all the other things that go hand in hand with dieting and exercising; dedication, motivation and hard work. The fact that you are going to work out for 15 minutes does not mean that you should be any less motivated or dedicated to the workout process than you normally are. What this means is that you even need to work harder than you normally do so that you can get the rock solid abs you want.
