| Directions of Use | Add two heaping scoops of Serious Mass to a blender filled with 24 oz of water. Blend for 45-60 seconds. Overall Evaluation I am 16 year old, and weigh about 115 pounds standing at 5'7. I started the program using one scoop in about 12 oz of water, so half the recommendation. I used it right after my workout stacking it with jack 3d.
I have extremely fast metabolism, I eat korean bbq once a week, if you don't know what that is, its an all you can eat filled with meat. It was expensive and gained me 5 pounds but i've wasted hundreds. Using serious mass, using the following schedule:
Half recommendation after workout, and another half recommendation before bed, i gained 5 pounds within 2 weeks.
I bought vanilla, pretty decent, but i added hersheys chocolate syrup to it, which added 200 more calories. It tastes great with the addition.
I thought this was too good to be true, but it's the real deal.
I'm only 2 weeks into it and now weigh 120 and i don't have a super bloated stomach feeling.

Overall Evaluation First off, all the reviewers saying this stuff is fake are one excedrin tablet short of a full medicine cabinet. Anyway, this product has done myself and many others WONDERS. This is a top ranking product among many body building forums for hard gainers such as myself. Overall Evaluation First off, I don't see how you could give this product a bad rating based upon the mixability. It clearly states on the bag that you MUST use a blender. If you do not have access to a blender, buy something else because you have to mix a lot of powder. I also read a negative review complaining about how thick this shake is. All I can say is use some common sense. This is a high calorie shake. Do you actually think you will get 1200 calories and 50g of protein by using one of those tiny scoops that come in a Muscle Milk jug? Of course not, if you're wanting to build mass you have got to take in a LOT of food.
That being said, I really like the thickness of this shake. It makes me feel like I'm actually getting somewhere. And of course you're going to feel full after you drink a serving - you just took in 1200+ (Posted on 1/24/12) -

Overall Evaluation First off I am an extremely hard gainer, while I am lifting I need to consume 4000+ calories just to maintain weight each day. I've tried lots of other products with some working better than others. This is my favorite I've tried so far. It is very effective, in that in contains alot of carbs and alot of calories. Overall Evaluation So far I've tried Monster Milk, Monster Mass, BSN True mass and BSN Syntha 6. All were very good and no complaints but somewhat expensive and cycled them quickly. Serious Mass is a great product especially for the price, with 50 grams of protein and loaded with calories this protein shake is beastly. Not to mention it's 12 lbs, over double most others brands I've tried that top out at 5-6 lbs. Many reviews said it was good but dogged on the taste, I bought chocolate and it tastes great so no problems there. Overall Evaluation This is the first and only weight gainer I've tried since I decided to add a few pounds and start lifting weights. To keep it short and to the point, this stuff works great if you stick with it. CONSISTENCY IS KEY. If you want to put on pounds, you must create a calorie surplus, and this shake helps you fill the gaps in your diet. It's not a complicated concept, but it takes dedication to achieve your goals. Overall Evaluation This is a good solution to get more calories and protein for any reason.
Taste: Ya, it's pretty bad the first time, but like all other protein powders and weight gainers that actually have a good nutritional profile, it gets better as you get used to it.
Nutrition: Although there is over 1,200 calories per serving, the serving size is two scoops, and the scoop is pretty much an excavator bucket. A "serving" is 350 grams or so, whereas if you're used to a protein powder, you're probably used to taking 50ish gram servings.
And one last thing, it's advertised as having glutamine and creatine, but there is only 1 gram of creatine and .5 grams of glutamine per 350 gram serving, so don't plan on using it as a sole source of either if you want the benefits of those supplements. (Posted on 1/24/12) -

Overall Evaluation I hit a plateau recently because I just couldn't eat enough to gain weight (I'm 6' 4", have a blazing fast metabolism, and exercise anywhere between 5 and 7 hours a week so I now consume 4000 cal. a day) and this stuff really pulled through for me. I'm up 5 pounds in 2 weeks and obviously it's not all muscle but I've always used the 1) gain weight, 2) lose just the fat, 3) repeat, method for body building and Serious Mass has been a huge help so far.
I couldn't tell you much about the taste. Once each morning and once after workouts I throw a scoop into a smoothie mixed with low fat milk, low fat ice cream, some vanilla extract, and various fruits (depending on what I'm feelin') so I don't know what it tastes like mixed alone in a cup of water or milk. The smoothie is delicious though.
I certainly plan on buying another bag when I'm finished (which might be a while because the bag is HUGE). Also, to brighten up my day, I took a black sharpie to the "M" in MASS and it puts a smile on my face every morning. (Posted on 1/24/12) -
Serious Mass, Serious Study Review by Noel
Overall Evaluation ON is a really good brand IMO and I love their products, including Serious Mass!
Taste--> I've only tried vanilla so I can better mix other ingredients in(not really sure how chocolate would taste with mango or other fruit). Vanilla taste pretty good by itself, not too sweet, not too bland.
The Mixability--> This baby goes right to the blender in my hands, I couldn't Imagine mixing a gainer in a shaker cup! It's really smooth, froths up a little but who cares.
Quality--> The amino acid profile, protein blend(50g), creatine and glutamine all suffice. 2.5g saturated fat and 21g sugar are not bad at all. Serious-M also has decent vitamin and mineral amounts to boot. This not just a protein blend with sugar for added calories.
Longevity--> one 12lb bag contains 16 servings, I'd say the ideal way to consume a gainer is to have 1 serving a day to help with the calories and let the rest come from whole foods. You're not gonna gain much of anything if your diet and training are not dialed in before your supplementation so don't try to live off of this stuff. I personally make my 12lb bag last a month.
I've made wonderful progress over the last 7.5 weeks with this stuff, really helps squeeze in those extra calories so I can get at least 3,000 extra by the end of the week. Wanna gain weight? Eat to grow... workout to convince your body that it needs to be bigger n stronger.

Look people, if you're complaining about the taste of this and giving it a low rating based on that, you need to stick to eating milkshakes and being a flabby ectomorph with flapjack boobys.
This stuff is not supposed to taste good. I take a multivitamin every morning but I don't chew it up and complain that it tastes like %#@% flavored pez, I just swallow the damn thing. That's exactly what you should be doing with this. The "flavor" is added as a side bonus for morons who need everything to taste like marshmallows and chocolate.

Overall Evaluation Seriously!
Before drinking this stuff, I'm 6'3 and weighed about 193 lbs. I'm almost finished with this 12 lb. bag which isn't alot considering the serving size. I'm a month and a half into it and the results are very noticeable. I now weigh 203 lbs. I might need to order another bag because I'm afraid I'll lose all the weight due to my fast metabolism.

Overall Evaluation ON's Serious Mass is a great product, as long as you are aware what you are buying. To touch on a few things people mention in their reviews:
--YES...the scoops are large (standard serving of two scoops is 334 Grams). You're drinking a protein shake not a coke, so deal with it.
--Mixing. You're not making chocolate milk...again, this powder has some substance to it, as should be expected.
--Taste. Protein powders are flavored as a favor to the consumer. Hardcore guys could care less as they were sucking down eggs and whatever was needed long before someone decided to make blueberry flavored creatine or peanut butter chocolate flavored powder.
All in all this is great product. You've gotta consume 3,000 EXTRA calories to put on one pound of weight, keeping that in mind with the proper diet and working out you just bought between 7 - 9lbs depending on what you mix it with (maybe more)...and yes, if you do not workout and eat right you will still gain weight, just not the kind you want ; )

Overall Evaluation I've tried several different mass gainer products and have routinely been disappointed. Started with a smaller package of this and bought the larger bag shortly thereafter. It dissolves very easily and tastes great. I usually only do a half-serving at a time so i blend it with their double rich chocolate protein powder and the flavor gets even better.
