The best way to Gain more by spending less time in the gym
Becoming a gym rat is not the only way through which you can gain some mass. There are a lot of different ways for you to gain the mass you want without torturing yourself or putting yourself through some rigorous schedules. Interestingly enough, one of the simplest ways of gaining mass is to spend as little time in the gym as possible. Of course a lot of people will find this unbelievable, but as long as you spend your time wisely and plan accordingly, this will bear some really good fruits for you and your confidence. Here are some useful tips to help you make use of as little time you can at the gym as possible.
Stop talking too much
It does not matter who you met or what you are doing, what you have been doing or which movie you went to last night, just keep it out. Everyone at the gym would greatly appreciate it if you stopped talking too much and just kept to your workout session. Do not forget that you are in the gym for a purpose, and this is to workout, not to get overly social.
Always plan ahead
Do not be that kind of person that waits until they get to the gym and then you start wondering what you need to do. Whether it is the leg press, the squats, anything that you need to do at the gym should be in a schedule. You have to ensure that you follow your schedule to the latter and do not deviate from it unless necessary.
Stop it with the breaks
If you find yourself looking for a reason to run to the bathroom in the course of the workout, rest assured that if someone has not told you this before, you are just being lazy. You cannot keep looking for excuses to run off to the bathroom or to stall training. Yes, you might need to get hydrated, but each of the minutes you spend trying to get refreshed by the water fountain will add up to time wasted.
Rest time between sets
When you have different sets of workout plans to achieve, you might be tempted to rest in between from time to time. I have been in this situation before, and at times at the back of my mind I felt like it was utterly necessary, I could not take the heat anymore. Well, here’s the shocker – you need to cut it out. If you are spending anything more than two minutes resting between your sets, you are wasting a lot of precious time.
Keep off redundant exercises
As weird and funny as it sounds, there are some exercises that are redundant. It amazes me why someone would want to go through flat bench presses, flat dumbbell presses and flat barbell bench presses in the same workout session. Really, are they nuts? If you do this, either you really love to train your chest, or whichever area but it does not make sense at all. Carefully examine your routine to make sure that you do not do the same thing over and over again and expect different results.
